Here at KRBC, we believe the best and truest form of Christianity is expressed through the confessing reformed Baptist point of view. It is true that many of our beliefs are shared by the vast majority of confessing Christians. But distinctions do exist. This is not to say we believe other reformed and non-reformed believers are somehow heretical in their views. We love our brothers and sisters in Christ despite the differences. All denominations have erred somewhere. Some distinctions are doctrinal and some are a matter of tradition.
This is why we believe the phrase “In the Essentials Unity, in the non-essentials Liberty, and in All Things Charity (Love)”.
We seek to hold to the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689.
We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture.
We believe in the Triune God.
We believe in the Doctrines of Grace.
We believe in the Sovereignty of God.
We believe in the Five Solas:
- Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone)
- Sola Gratia (Grace Alone)
- Sola Fide (Faith Alone)
- Sola Christus (Christ Alone)
- Sola Deo Gloria (To God Alone Be Glory)
We are monergistic in regards to salvation.
We are covenantal in regards to God’s redemptive plan for man/Israel/the church.
As time progresses, KRBC will create a “Resources and Link” page that will be more exhaustive regarding the reformed Baptist doctrines.
